A Brief History of Belle's House

Above: Belle Eaton, Belle's Houses' namesake.

Belle's House was built in 1910 by George Lowell for his wife Hanna, after they had sold their previous home, now the Rock Garden Inn.

Most of the land around Round Cove, including what is now the Sebasco Estates Resort and golf course was originally part of the family homestead.

Several of the homes around Belle's House are still owned by decendents of the Lowells.

Belle's House was used as the family home until 2006 and has been offered as a summer rental since.

The home still retains it's charm with hardwood floors, varnished woodwork and papered plaster walls. Many of the original features have been retained to offer an authentic view of Maine life the way it used to be.
